Plans & Ideas
The Outfit (For Green Lane Exploration)
Front Forks
Custom leading link forks with an 8" TLS front brake - luckily I still have the set I adapted  to  fit an A10 headstock several years ago, just needs a bit of light work to restore them.Click here to see the photo!
Frame
An A10 frame with a lowered seating position,  fitted with an A65 swinging arm which is a bit longer than the standard A10 swinging arm.
Side Car
A trials type body in fiberglass with a lot of suspension travel. Also will be making it quickly detachable using four 1/2" bolts or similar for ease of maintenance.
Exhaust System
Hi level system fitted with a really noise efficient car silencer, perhaps in the nose of the sidecar,  for "stealth" runs in the woods etc. you know the ones that you're not sure you should be in.....................
Wheels & Tyres
Serviceable steel rims, maybe with alloy conical hubs as fitted to the later BSA's and Triumph's, going to try and keep the unsprung weight  down a bit.
4.00" x 18" trials tyres all round,  19" trials tyres are a bit pricey now.
Side Car Wheel Drive
Always wanted to do this and I know it's crazy - going to try and drive the sidecar wheel.....................
The Engine
Bog standard low compression A10 unit with a large fin cast iron head and barrels -  would like to use the heavy crank that was  designed specifically for sidecar work.Click here to see the photo!
The Transmission
Using an A10 gearbox fitted with standard ratios with the possibility of an extra hi / low / reverse transfer box?
Will try and put up some rough ideas / drawings shortly........
